Murray Kuntz
Rugged defenceman Jim Kyte played 13 seasons in the NHL while earning 1,342 career penalty minutes. The Ottawa native, a first-round selection (12th overall) by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft, played with four other teams during his NHL career, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators (in 1992-93) and San Jose Sharks. Kyte is now a professor at Ottawa’s Algonquin College, teaching in the sports business management program.
