Nicolas St-Pierre is the French play-by-play announcer for CJFO 94.5. He has been doing this since 2007.
Born in Sept-Iles, Quebec, he began his career as a DJ for CIPC 710 Am Port-Cartier. After stints in Montmagny and Quebec City, he made the Outaouais region his home in the 90’s, where he studied journalism at La Cité Collégiale in Ottawa.
Nicolas took a break from the media to pursue a career as a chef. After a few years working in the kitchen, Nicolas decided to come back to his first passion; radio. This all began when he won, the PA announcer for-a-day contest, held by the Ottawa Senators to commemorate their 10th anniversary. Following this he was successful in obtaining a hosting job in television for Rogers Television before returning to radio with the defunct station CJRC 1150.
Nicolas’ career highlights include: the play-by-play for the 2007-2008 QJMHL’s President’s Cup Trophy, won by the Gatineau Olympiques, hosting the pre-game show for the 2007 Stanley Cup finale, and his first NHL play-by-play for the Senators.
Nicolas is married to wife Natalie and lives in Ottawa with their two sons, Xavier and Sebastian.
