Acquired: Acquired by Ottawa in a three-way deal involving Chicago and San Jose. San Jose sent Preissing and Josh Hennessy to Chicago for Mark Bell. Chicago sent Preissing, Hennessy, Michal Barinka and their second-round draft pick in 2008 to Ottawa in exchange for Martin Havlat and Bryan Smolinski on July 10, 2006
