Acquired: Acquired in a three-way deal on July 10, 2006 involving Chicago and San Jose. In the deal, San Jose sent Tom Preissing and Josh Hennessy to Chicago for Mark Bell. Chicago sent Tom Preissing, Josh Hennessy, Michal Barinka and their second-round draft pick in 2008 to Ottawa in exchange for Martin Havlat and Bryan Smolinski

2008-09: Recalled once from Binghamton (AHL) on Feb. 18, playing against Vancouver on Feb. 19 … Had eight multi-point games with Binghamton and four game-winning goals. 2007-08: Second in team scoring with Binghamton (AHL) with 22 goals and 29 assists Had 11 multi-point games … Had three game-winning goals … Played the first two games of the season in Ottawa, and then recalled from Binghamton (1/31/08) to play in three more NHL games. 2006-07: Saw first career NHL action, scoring one goal in 10 games … Was recalled four times during the season … Made NHL debut against Detroit (12/12/06) … Registered first NHL goal on Antero Niittymaki against Philadelphia (1/7/07) … Finished third in team scoring with Binghamton, recording 27 goals and 30 assists in 76 games. 2005-06: In first pro season, led AHL Cleveland Barons in goals (24) and assists (39) for 63 points in 80 games … One of only two players on the Barons to play in every regular-season game. 2001-05: Played four seasons with the Quebec Remparts (QMJHL), collecting 291 points (128-163) and 162 penalty minutes in 269 games. In last season with the Remparts in 2004-05, he captained the team, finishing first on the team in assists (50) and points (85), and was second in goals (35). His 85 points tied him for eighth in the CHL.
