The Northeast Division-leading Ottawa Senators have been dominant at home this season. Beating teams like the last-place Boston Bruins has certainly helped.

Ottawa looks for its third straight home win over Boston when the teams meet at Scotiabank Place.

The Senators have 13 wins, a loss and a tie in their last 15 home games against the Bruins, limiting Boston to two goals or less eight times in that span.

Overall, the Senators have won three in a row with two wins coming by shutout including a 3-0 victory Thursday over the Montreal Canadiens.

Dominik Hasek only needed to make 12 saves to earn his second shutout in three games and fifth of the season.

"What can I say about tonight's shutout? It was the easiest shutout I've ever had in the NHL," said Hasek, who moved past Roy Worters into 11th place on the all-time list with his 68th career shutout. "I know it counts in the statistics but for us it's an important win."

Daniel Alfredsson scored twice, including the 250th goal of his career. He has five goals and six assists during a six-game points streak.

"We got out and we skated hard from the beginning," said Alfredsson, the Senators' leading scorer. "We controlled the game from the first faceoff. Once we got going, I think we played smart and we kept the puck in front of us."

Alfredsson has a goal and six assists in four games this season against Boston.

The Bruins will try to bounce back after seeing their three-game winning streak end with a 4-3 loss Saturday to the Boston Bruins.

Brad Boyes' goal early in the third period gave Boston a 3-2 lead, but Tim Thomas gave up goals to Alexei Zhitnik and Mark Parrish 20 seconds apart midway through the frame.

"There's a fine line between winning and losing," Bruins coach Mike Sullivan said. "For us, the faceoff certainly hurt us tonight. We had opportunities to win the game on the power play."

Thomas finished with 47 saves in his eighth consecutive start, but suffered his first regulation loss of the season.

After losing its first three matchups with Ottawa, Boston has won the last two. The Bruins have won a season-high four straight away from home.
