Season series: Second of five meetings between these Northeast Division rivals. Patrice Bergeron tipped in a Dennis Seidenberg shot 3:38 into overtime to give the Bruins a 2-1 win over the Senators on Feb. 28 at TD Garden. The goalies starred, as Tuukka Rask made 30 saves and Robin Lehner stopped 44 shots in a hard-luck loss.

Big story: So what happens when the unstoppable force meets the immovable object? The Eastern Conference's top road team in Boston (8-1-2) takes on the best home team in Ottawa (9-1-2).

Team Scope:

Bruins: Although they're "only" second in the division and fourth in the conference, Boston actually has the best points percentage in the East, having still played the fewest games. When the Bruins do take the ice, they rarely lose, as the visiting Flyers discovered on Saturday. A three-goal, first-period blitz was all it took for the Bruins to record a 3-0 victory behind Rask's 23 saves. Tyler Seguin, Chris Kelly and Daniel Paille all scored in a 2:18 stretch that took the Flyers right out of the game.

"I think it was better for our team to play a solid 60-minute defensive game but still get the offense," said Rask, whose shutout was the 13th of his career. "Not so for me to get the shutout cause we're a team here and win as a team and lose as a team but it's always good to get a shutout, it tells a lot about team defense."

Senators: This is the lone stop back at Scotiabank Place during a stretch of eight games for Ottawa. In danger of finishing their five-game road trip without a win, the Senators made a stop Friday at an arena where they have excelled in recent years. Facing the Rangers at Madison Square Garden, they received a 33-save performance from Lehner and the go-ahead goal from Jakob Silfverberg with 4:41 remaining to record a 3-2 win, boosting their record at MSG to 12-1-1 in their last 14 regular-season games there.

"We've been playing OK on the road, but we haven't been playing with the killer instinct to get the win," captain Daniel Alfredsson said. "We knew tonight the fifth game on the road, it would be a big boost for our team. I thought we did a good job laying it on the line in the third period."

Who's hot: Seguin has five goals in as many games for the Bruins. David Krejci (1-3-4) and Milan Lucic (0-3-3) have three-game points streaks active. … Zach Smith has goals in consecutive games for the Senators after going the first 23 games of the season without one. Patrick Wiercioch has goals in two of the past three games. Sergei Gonchar has four assists in the past three games.

Injury report: Ottawa forward Dave Dziurzynski (concussion) is out indefinitely. Goalie Craig Anderson (ankle), defensemen Jared Cowen (hip), Mike Lundin (concussion) and Erik Karlsson (Achilles) and forwards Jason Spezza (back), Guillaume Latendresse (whiplash) and Peter Regin (upper body) are on injured reserve.
