OTTAWA - Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves to earn his second shutout in three games, and Brandon Dubinsky and Lauri Korpikoski provided the offence in the New York Rangers' 2-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night.

Lundqvist, selected this week for his first NHL All-Star Game, stopped 27 shots in a 4-0 victory over Pittsburgh on Monday to pick up his first shutout this season. He allowed five goals in a home loss to Montreal on Wednesday, but bounced back against Ottawa after taking a game off.

He has 19 career shutouts in four NHL seasons. Lundqvist served as the backup to Steve Valiquette on Friday night in the Rangers' 2-1 shootout loss at Buffalo.

The result spoiled the outing by Senators goalie Brian Elliott, who made his second career NHL start after being recalled from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. Ottawa didn't fare any better at home after returning from a 1-6-1 road trip.

Elliott, the AHL goalie of the month in December, was called up in an effort to give the Senators a spark. He played well, but the effort was in vain as the Senators had no answers against Lundqvist. Ottawa was shut out for the fourth time this season.

Dubinsky snapped a 19-game drought without a goal when he scored his sixth of the season in the first period. Korpikoski netted his second after returning from a recent benching, giving the Rangers insurance in the third period.

Elliott made 25 saves, including one against Petr Prucha during a breakaway early in the third. But soon after, he was beaten on a quick shot from Korpikoski at 5:22.

Dubinsky scored the first goal when a rebound bounced off Korpikoski's chest right to him at the side of the net. Dubinsky swatted the puck past Elliott at 15:09.

The Senators were outshot 14-9 in the first period, but outhustled the Rangers in the second to own a 14-4 edge. Ottawa also had a 5-on-3 advantage for 25 seconds, but was unable to get anything going.

Notes: The Rangers went more than four periods between penalties before Chris Drury was whistled for hooking at 1:29 of the second. New York didn't receive a penalty against Buffalo on Friday and went 91 minutes, 59 seconds between calls ... The Senators lead the series with the Rangers 31-22-3-5 ... The Carolina Hurricanes visit Scotiabank Place on Tuesday night (7:30 p.m., Rogers Sportsnet, Team 1200).
